So these last couple of weeks have been crazy busy for me! I feel like I've been running around this city like a chicken with my head cut off. Last week I attended Magic Market Week and met up with some pretty sick brands. Between socializing and walking around (which intwines with more socializing) I realized that shooting for my next post during the convention's downtime would be perfect. I've been obsessing over my skyscraper-like Qozmo's from Y-R-U. They add that over the top emphasis to make any outfit eye-grabbing and badass! I was able to distract the lovely people of Y-R-U away from their booths at Pool and the Convention Center long enough to get to know them a little bit and see how chill these people are. Oh, and I'm buying all of their SS14 line. Obvs.
Its getting warmer outside, kind of, and I've decided to test out a little idea. I'm predicting that the High-waist trend will soon fade out (and die) so what alternatives do woman have now? I've always loved the idea of hip-hugging above the knee shorts, think boyfriend jeans cut mid thigh. So, I pulled the high shorts down and was pretty satisfied with my result. This look is good for the winter/spring transition. Also, I've been kind of obsessing over denim on denim layering.
I love the idea of cropped hoodies in winter. Especially in Vegas, there's no commitment to being too hot or cold in the fickle weather. I've been looking for the perfect baddie outfit to go with my new lipstick from MAC (HEROINE) and anything from Dimepiece will do the trick.
For color balance, I chose to wear my maroon Dr.Martens, however, my creepers were a definite close second. One of the things that I love about my wardrobe is how interchangeable every item is. You can totally change the look and attitude of what you're wearing simply by switching out a few key pieces..
All of these lovely pictures were taken by another fellow vegas fashion blogger,
With all the commotions going on currently, I've found it a bit distracting to concentrate on singular things whole-heartedly. But I'm back and wanted to show everyone my lush little poncho found at one of the best thrift stores in Vegas, Buffalo Exchange. Even though the calendar says we're in winter, I've been dressing for spring. Cutoffs and light coverage is my thing.
Also scored in my thrifting search were these darling little heel-less Litas from Jeffrey Campbell. They're seriously so striking and so easy to walk in. It looks like a lot of effort, but really, you're just fooling everyone and looking good while you do it. As usual, I keep a balance between my outfits, so in staying true to myself, I counteracted my long tank dress and tights with a bulky statement piece poncho.
